Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - a Canadian and American singer/songwriter. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. Her music is classified as folk rock and alternative rock but includes elements of punk, funk, hip hop and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist legend and a Grammy award-winning. In the beginning, as one of the first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco created her record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had made acquaintance while studying at an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian heritage and her mother was a Montreal native. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. This song was released on DiFranco's 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The song was featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apology was made in the year 2013 when it was discovered that she had planned to host the three-day event in the site of a Louisiana ex-slave plantation. Even though she canceled the event several individuals (including our own paper) didn't feel any remorse. DiFranco released a new apology days later. Although known by the name of Little Peoplesinger, she has collaborated with a variety of musicians and artists from Pete Seeger through Chuck D until Prince. She is a resident of New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is married to Kristen Ford. When she was 14, she had begun singing her own tunes. She performed them in bars and coffee houses throughout her teens. DiFranco began taking classes in Buffalo State College at age 16 after graduating from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Ani's new baritone was created by custom Alvarez, made by Chrys Johnston, who at the time worked as the Alvarez artist rep. It features their System 600 amp and is entirely made of solid woods. It includes a cedar-top mahogany body and sides with an ebony-fretboard. DiFranco is living at home located in New Orleans with her husband along with her two children and Lefty the long-legged pup that wanders in out of sight as we talk. DiFranco, who is now 30 years old, acknowledges that reflecting on the past has resulted in mixed feelings.
