Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. As headgirl, she earned straight A grades in her A-Levels. When Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she stated she regretted having not had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while during her time at university. They performed during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. It also received a positive reception. She was awarded with a prestigious award for her performance. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman got the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two awards. She was named as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman for both categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine as well as the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's character following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat picked her to play the role because she worked well with Smith and could talk faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the industry of entertainment since 1987. Her most popular role was on television. Eva has appeared in a number of television parts, however the roles of Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami have stood out. In fact, the part of the character Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children earned its two Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to showcase her music creativity. Eva, in addition to acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
